Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has emphasized the importance of diligence and zero tolerance for corruption among his appointees.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed and reappointed members of the State Executive Council in Akure, Aiyedatiwa stressed that his administration is committed to delivering rapid and effective governance.
The governor charged his appointees to carry out their duties diligently, focusing on speed and accuracy in governance. He also introduced the seven-point developmental agenda, tagged ‘OUR EASE,’ designed to accelerate the state’s growth.
Aiyedatiwa warned that his administration would not tolerate any act of corruption, indolence, or disloyalty, and that performance-measuring techniques would be introduced to ensure accountability and efficiency.
“We demand excellent performance from all appointees, for that is the primary reason we were voted into office by the good people of Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa stated. He also emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration among appointees, career officers, permanent secretaries, and accounting officers.
The new appointees inaugurated include Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, SAN as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowumi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance, among others.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them and promised that the appointees would work tirelessly to support the administration’s vision and deliver impactful governance to the people of Ondo State.
