Renowned American actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 63, were discovered dead in their Santa Fe home, along with their pet dog, according to Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza.

The cause of their deaths has not been disclosed, and no foul play is suspected.

A Legendary Acting Career

Hackman, a two-time Academy Award winner, was celebrated for his versatile acting career, with iconic roles in films such as “The French Connection,” “Unforgiven,” and “The Royal Tenenbaums.” He had largely retreated from public life following his retirement from acting in 2004.
