The Pentagon announced in a memo on Wednesday that the United States will commence the removal of transgender personnel from the military within 30 days, unless they are granted a waiver on a case-by-case basis.

The memo was made public as part of a court filing in a case that challenged President Donald Trump’s executive order published in late January, which was designed to prohibit transgender personnel from serving in the military.

The memo read, “Service members who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria will be processed for separation from military service,” the memo read.

“The troops may be considered for a waiver on a case-by-case basis, provided there is a compelling government interest in retaining the service member that directly supports war-fighting capabilities.”

IREPORT247NEW reported on 28th January that President Trump to sign executive order prohibiting transgender people from Military Service.

Trump has already attacked any acknowledgment of gender diversity and pledged to reinstate the ban on transgender troops.

Trump stated in his directive that “many mental and physical health conditions are incompatible with active duty” and that the military “has been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists.”

The order stated “adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life.”

“A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member,” it added.
