DIG Ali Applauds Osun Police for Peaceful Election.

DIG Ali was pleased with the work of the officers and personnel on duty and acknowledged their dedication to keeping the peace during the election.

The Osun State Police Command’s hard work and professionalism during the recently held local government elections in the state have been praised by Ari Muhammed Ali, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Operations at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

This was disclosed by DIG Ali during his visit to the Command on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to evaluate the security situation following the recently held local government elections, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by CSP Yemisi Opalola, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Osun Police Command.

During his visit, DIG Ali sought to oversee and obtain a firsthand insight of the state’s security atmosphere, representing Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.

According to the statement, Ali was pleased with the work of the officers and personnel on duty and acknowledged their dedication to keeping the peace during the election.

He praised Mohammed Umar Abba, Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, for keeping the elections safe and peaceful.

Ali also praised cops for protecting lives and property, especially during the critical local government elections.

On the visit, Ali inspected police facilities and encouraged officers to continue protecting the public. He said the Force Headquarters will continue to support state security activities.
