Oyo APC unveils Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Soji Adedeji and 49 other candidates as the party’s flag bearers ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially presented its candidates for the 2027 general elections, with Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli formally unveiled as the party’s governorship candidate.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Friday at the APC State Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, candidates and supporters as the party began preparations for the forthcoming elections.
Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was joined by other candidates selected to contest various senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats across the state.

In his remarks, the APC governorship candidate thanked God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party leadership and members for the confidence reposed in him to lead the party into the 2027 governorship contest.
He particularly called for reconciliation and cooperation among APC members, stressing that those who contested the governorship ticket against him during the party’s selection process should not be treated as enemies.
According to Alli, all aspirants remain important members of the same political family and should work together towards the broader objective of securing victory for the APC in Oyo State.
He warned that internal disagreements and divisions could weaken the party’s chances at the polls, urging members to put their differences aside and concentrate on building a formidable political structure ahead of 2027.
“All those who contested with me are not my opponents. They are my brothers and important stakeholders in our collective struggle,” he said.

The senator also outlined some of the areas he intends to prioritise if elected governor, promising to run an administration that would accommodate people from different parts of the state.
He identified education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors as key areas that would receive attention under his proposed administration.
