British No.1 Jack Draper has announced he will sit out the remainder of the 2025 season after struggling with an arm injury that has plagued him for much of the year.
The 23-year-old was forced to withdraw from his scheduled second-round match at the US Open last month, having already been hampered by the issue since Wimbledon.

The injury, diagnosed as bone bruising, first flared up during his defeat to Marin Čilić in the second round at SW19.
“Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I’ll be sitting out the rest of 2025,” Draper said. “It’s very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.
However, I’ve been through this before — and I always come back stronger as I’m so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player.”

Draper made a brief return at Flushing Meadows, where he won his first-round match against Federico Agustín Gómez before pulling out of a second-round clash with Zizou Bergs.
His decision to end the season comes at a heavy cost, Draper had been in strong contention to qualify for the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin and was also signed up for the high-profile Six Kings Slam exhibition in Saudi Arabia next month.

He will also forfeit valuable ranking points after being unable to defend his Vienna Open title.
Despite the setback, Draper’s 2025 season included several standout performances: a maiden Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells, runner-up finishes in Doha and Madrid, and deep runs at both the French Open and Wimbledon warm-up at Queen’s.
