Israeli forces have carried out another raid in the occupied West Bank, storming the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah. During the raid, two young Palestinian men were wounded by Israeli live fire.

According to Wafa news agency, one of the men was shot in the hip and hand, while the other was shot in the foot. Fortunately, both individuals are reported to be in stable condition.

This incident is part of a larger pattern of near-daily raids and incursions into Palestinian towns and villages across the West Bank.

Since launching their war on Gaza, Israeli forces have intensified their military presence in the West Bank, often accompanied by mass arrests, destruction of infrastructure, home demolitions, and killings.

The situation in Gaza City continues to deteriorate, with Israeli forces intensifying their attacks as part of their planned offensive to seize the enclave’s urban center. Footage  shows civil defense teams rescuing victims from under the rubble of a destroyed house in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.

The rescuers used basic tools and their hands to lift debris from the destroyed home, which belonged to the al-Ghaf family. According to the civil defense member who filmed the scene, three bodies were recovered, while others were pulled out injured.

At least 35 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza City so far today, sources at local hospitals tell newsmen. The Israeli military has detailed a range of operations across the Gaza Strip in recent weeks, stating that these actions “created the conditions” for the military to intensify pressure on Hamas and lay the groundwork for the next stages of the campaign.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza. According to the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza, at least 62,122 Palestinians have been killed, mostly civilians, since the start of the Israeli offensive.

The United Nations considers these figures reliable, but media restrictions in Gaza and difficulties in accessing many areas mean that AFP is unable to independently verify the tolls and details provided by the civil defense agency or the Israeli military.

Residents of Gaza City have described relentless bombardments, with one resident, Ahmad al-Shanti, saying, “The house shakes with us all night long — the sound of explosions, artillery, warplanes, ambulances, and cries for help is killing us.”

Another resident, Amal Abdel-Aal, described watching heavy strikes on the area, saying, “No one in Gaza has slept — not last night, not for a week. The artillery and air strikes in the east never stop. The sky flashes all night long.”

The Israeli plans to expand the fighting and take control of Gaza City have sparked international outcry, as well as domestic opposition.

Qatar said the latest ceasefire proposal was “almost identical” to an earlier version approved by Israel, while Cairo said the ball is now in Israel’s court.

Hamas has lambasted the Israeli defense ministry’s approval of plans to take control of Gaza City, saying it shows a “blatant disregard” for efforts to broker a ceasefire and hostage release deal.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to a significant humanitarian crisis, with many civilians caught in the crossfire. The situation remains dire, with no clear end in sight. As the Israeli military continues to intensify its attacks, the international community is calling for a ceasefire and a return to negotiations.
