APC Women Leader Jumoke Okoya-Thomas mobilises Lagos women for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, urging active political participation.
The Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, has commenced a strategic mobilisation campaign aimed at rallying women across the state in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

This initiative underscores the party’s recognition of the pivotal role women play in shaping political outcomes, particularly in high-stakes elections.
In a recent statement, Okoya-Thomas emphasized that President Tinubu has proven his leadership credentials and delivered on his promises, thereby meriting the confidence of Nigerians for a second term.
She urged women to actively participate in the political process, stressing that their collective engagement could significantly influence the success of the upcoming elections.
A key highlight of this mobilisation drive is the ‘Women Summit’ scheduled for tomorrow at the Victoria Garden Conference Centre in Alausa, Ikeja.
The event promises to be a landmark gathering, bringing together women leaders, political stakeholders, and influencers under one roof.

The summit will be graced by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who will serve as the guest of honour.
Other distinguished attendees expected at the summit include Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the wife of the Lagos State Governor; APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; National Women Leader Mary Aline; GAC leader Prince Oluyole Olusi; and former National Legal Adviser, Babatunde Ogala (SAN).
Their presence is set to highlight the significance of the event in galvanising women’s active participation in politics.

Okoya-Thomas explained that the summit is designed to awaken political consciousness among women, address apathy, and prepare them for effective engagement in future elections. She said:
“This landmark event has been carefully crafted to awaken the lethargy and complacency of our political women across the board.
“It is a platform to educate, inspire, and mobilise women to take active roles in shaping the political landscape ahead of the forthcoming elections.”
Through this initiative, the APC Women Leader aims not only to bolster support for President Tinubu but also to empower women as influential stakeholders in governance and decision-making.
She reiterated the party’s commitment to creating opportunities for women to engage meaningfully in politics and contribute to national development.
With the 2027 elections approaching, this summit marks a significant step in mobilising grassroots support and strengthening the APC’s political base in Lagos State, positioning women at the forefront of the campaign for continuity in leadership.
