Big Brother Naija Season 10, themed “10-Over-10,” entered its fifth week with more drama, unexpected alliances, and a major twist that left both housemates and viewers stunned.

The week, which started with intense Head of House (HoH) battles and fiery nomination rounds, ended without any eviction, keeping fans on edge as the game edges closer to its halfway mark.

The week began with Jason Jae clinching the interim Head of House title after a tightly contested game.

His choice of Koyin as his HoH condo partner raised eyebrows, given their recent disagreements. Some housemates interpreted the decision as a reconciliation attempt, while others saw it as a calculated strategy to secure loyalty.

However, while Jason celebrated his win, Mide faced the downside of the challenge.

Emerging as the “Snail of the House” after a poor performance, she was automatically placed on the nomination list—a rule Big Brother enforced to punish underperformance.

Midweek, the HoH challenge reshaped the house dynamics once again.

Rooboy outperformed both Jason and Kuture in a multi-stage task to seize the HoH crown.

In a bold move, he named Zita as his deputy, fueling speculations about a new power bloc in the house.

Some housemates jokingly referred to their reign as a “military regime,” citing Rooboy’s strong-willed leadership style and Zita’s firm personality.

Nevertheless, his HoH win earned him immunity and the rare privilege of reshaping the nomination outcomes.

As expected, the nomination session was tense. Faith topped the chart with five nominations, followed by Sultana, Ivatar, and Zita, who each secured four nominations.

Thelma Lawson, Tracy, and Denari also attracted votes from their fellow housemates.

Big Brother, however, introduced another layer of intrigue by naming Mensan the “Most Influential Player” of the week, granting him immunity.

The recognition sparked mixed feelings, with Mensan confidently declaring that his immunity was a reward for his leadership, while some housemates felt it gave him an undue advantage.

Meanwhile, Faith broke down in tears during her diary session, confessing that she felt targeted for being outspoken.

Her emotional display resonated with viewers, who flooded social media with supportive comments.

The Week 5 wager task revolved around the theme “Afrobeat Meets Fashion.” Housemates were tasked with designing outfits inspired by Afrobeats stars while incorporating a dance showcase.

The presentation was colorful, energetic, and filled with tension as rehearsals tested patience and teamwork.

Standout performances came from Thelma Lawson, who impressed with her stage confidence, while Sultana struggled with coordination, sparking playful arguments.

Despite the friction, the house won the wager, earning a luxury food basket and an upgraded Saturday night party.

The weekend party, powered by Afrobeats and Amapiano, delivered classic BBNaija entertainment.

Fans could not stop talking about Kuture and Tracy’s chemistry on the dance floor, while Ivatar appeared withdrawn until Denari cheered her up.

The highlight of Week 5 came on eviction night when viewers expected at least one housemate to leave.

With Faith, Sultana, Ivatar, Zita, Tracy, and Denari all topping the nomination list, tension was high.

However, in a dramatic twist, Rooboy exercised a rare privilege by drawing a trinket labeled “Nullify Nominations.”

This single act canceled all eviction votes, meaning every housemate was safe for the week.

The announcement by Ebuka sent waves of relief and confusion through the house. Faith cried in gratitude, while others whispered that Rooboy’s good fortune could tilt alliances in his favor.

Outside the house, social media was ablaze with reactions.

While some fans applauded Big Brother’s unpredictability, others argued that saving everyone reduced suspense.

Rooboy’s popularity soared after his bold reign, while Faith gained sympathy from viewers who felt she was unfairly targeted.

As the house moves into Week 6, alliances are expected to harden, strategies will intensify, and weaker housemates may face pressure to prove themselves.

With no one evicted in Week 5, the stakes are even higher as the race for the ₦120 million grand prize heats up.
