Bayern Munich have agreed a record loan deal worth £13 million for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

The agreement includes a £13m (€15m) loan fee, with an option to buy for a fixed £56.2m (€65m) and a sell-on clause, making the total package potentially worth £70m — matching Chelsea’s valuation of the forward.

Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal two years ago for £30m, has already agreed terms with Bayern and is set to travel to Germany for a medical.

The 24-year-old informed Chelsea earlier this month of his desire to explore options after the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Talks concluded late Friday, with Chelsea accepting Bayern’s proposal today (Saturday morning), preferring an option to buy due to the unprecedented loan fee.

Jackson scored 13 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions last season, following 17 goals in his debut campaign.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have also struck a £40m deal with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho, the 20-year-old Argentina international completed his medical on Friday, with United securing a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

The fee represents United’s fourth-biggest outgoing transfer — behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, and Angel Di Maria — and their most lucrative sale of a homegrown player.

United had initially valued Garnacho at £50m, but a compromise was reached after Chelsea’s opening £25m bid was increased.

Chelsea are also set to finalise the loan signing of Brighton midfielder Facundo Buonanotte.

The 20-year-old will join on a season-long loan without an option or obligation to buy, despite interest from Leeds United, Borussia Dortmund, and Lyon.

Brighton were insistent the Argentina international should remain in the Premier League if loaned out.
