The curtain will fall on the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA 2024 this weekend, with two-time champions Morocco set to face tournament debut finalists Madagascar in a historic final at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi on Saturday, 30 August 2025.
Morocco booked their spot in the title decider after edging defending champions Senegal 5-3 on penalties following a tense 1-1 extra-time draw in Kampala.

The Atlas Lions, who lifted the trophy in 2018 and 2020, are now chasing a record-extending third CHAN crown and their third appearance in the final in just six years.
On the other side, Madagascar produced one of the competition’s most remarkable stories by reaching their first-ever CHAN final.
Substitute Toky Rakotondraibe scored in the 116th minute to seal a dramatic 1-0 extra-time win over Sudan in Dar es Salaam, a victory that made the island nation the first COSAFA side to reach the championship’s grand finale.

The final promises a captivating contrast: Morocco looking to cement their dominance of the tournament, while Madagascar dream of completing a fairytale run by lifting their maiden continental title.
Before the main event, the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala will host the third-place playoff on Friday, 29 August 2025, with Senegal meeting Sudan as both sides aim to bow out on a positive note.
