A heart- wrenching Israeli attack on a hospital in southern Gaza has resulted in the untimely death of at least 20 people, including four journalists of Palestinian descent.
The journalists killed in the attack were Hossam al-Masri, a reporter for Reuters news agency, Mohammed Salama from Al Jazeera, freelance journalist Mariam Abu Daqa, and Moaz Abu Taha, a journalist for NBC.
Rescue workers who rushed to the scene to provide aid were unfortunately also among the casualties.
The attack is part of an intensified Israeli military campaign in Gaza, with the Israeli army launching fierce attacks on large parts of the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods of Gaza City.
The Israeli military’s plan to seize the city and force the population south has led to widespread destruction and a dire humanitarian crisis.

Doctors in Gaza have reported that children are dying of starvation due to the Israeli-engineered famine, and there is little they can do to stop it.
The conflict has also spilled over into Yemen, where the Houthis reported that at least six people were killed and 86 others were wounded in Israeli attacks on the capital city of Sanaa. The attacks targeted the presidential palace and energy facilities, further escalating tensions in the region.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said his country’s attack on Yemen was sequel to the incessant attacks from the Yemeni Houthi rebels and that Israel’s assaults would continue until the job is done.
The ongoing war in Gaza has resulted in a staggering number of casualties, with at least 62,622 people killed and 157,673 wounded, according to reports.

The conflict was sparked by Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,139 people in Israel and resulted in the capture of over 200 people.
The situation remains dire, with no end in sight to the violence and humanitarian crisis.
