President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged the newly appointed management team of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to work collectively in repositioning and revitalizing the nation’s foremost state-owned broadcaster.

IREPORT247NEWS reported that the President, in a major leadership restructuring, approved the appointment of renowned media executive Rotimi Richard Pedro as the new Director-General of NTA.
Alongside him, Karimah Bello was named Executive Director of Marketing, Stella Din appointed Executive Director of News, while Sophia Essahmed takes over as Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited.
Rotimi Richard Pedro, a native of Lagos, brings nearly three decades of experience in media leadership, broadcasting, sports rights management, and marketing communications across Africa, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

In a statement issued on Friday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration.
He tasked the new appointees with the responsibility of transforming the NTA into a more dynamic, competitive, and modern broadcaster capable of meeting the demands of today’s rapidly changing media environment.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of a Director-General and other members of the Management Team for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
“The President further tasks the new appointees to work as a team in repositioning and revitalizing the NTA by infusing innovations into the agency for effective service delivery,” the statement read.
By this directive, President Tinubu underscored the Federal Government’s determination to strengthen public broadcasting, making NTA more responsive to its mandate of informing, educating, and uniting Nigerians through credible and professional media services.
