
A tragic shooting incident unfolded early Sunday morning at the Taste of the City Lounge, a Caribbean-American restaurant and bar in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Multiple gunmen stormed the establishment, opening fire and killing three people, while injuring at least eight others. The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. at 903 Franklin Avenue, sending patrons scrambling for cover.

The eight wounded individuals were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, although the police have not disclosed details about their conditions.
According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, officers recovered no fewer than 36 shell casings from the scene, indicating the severity of the shooting.
The police have not made any arrests, and the shooters remain at large. Commissioner Tisch described the incident as “a terrible tragedy,” while also highlighting that New York City has seen a record low number of shooting incidents and victims so far this year.
The Taste of the City Lounge, which opened in 2022, is known for its Caribbean cuisine, full bar, hookah services, and live DJs.

The business, located near the Brooklyn Museum, had reportedly closed for the night around 3 a.m. when the attackers struck. The grim scene inside the restaurant was captured on camera, showing NYPD officers standing amid broken glass, scattered chairs, and pools of blood.
As the investigation continues, authorities are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The incident has left the community in shock, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward. With no arrests made, the search for the perpetrators remains ongoing.
