Galatasaray defender Davinson Sánchez has lauded the Turkish champions’ formidable new attacking trio of Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, and Leroy Sané following their 3-0 victory over Fatih Karagümrük at RAMS Park on Friday.

The Colombian centre-back praised the balance and firepower of the revamped forward line, which is expected to spearhead the club’s defence of their Süper Lig title and boost their ambitions in Europe this season.

“We’re delighted to have Mauro Icardi back. The team isn’t just Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi; Leroy Sané has arrived, and everyone is doing a fantastic job,” Sánchez told Fotomac. “We’re all fighting together for Galatasaray’s goals.”

Osimhen stays, Icardi returns

Nigerian international Osimhen, who enjoyed a sensational loan spell last season, has now joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal after the club fended off interest from several top European sides.

He scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions last term, playing a decisive role in securing the league title.

Meanwhile, Icardi’s return to full fitness is seen as another major boost. The Argentine striker, sidelined for much of last season with a long-term injury, brings penalty-box instinct and clinical finishing to complement Osimhen’s pace and power.

Sané adds flair

The attack has been further reinforced by the arrival of Leroy Sané from Bayern Munich. The German international’s pace, creativity, and unpredictability on the wings provide Galatasaray with a new dimension in the final third. His ability to stretch defences and deliver both goals and assists is expected to make Okan Buruk’s side even more dangerous.

With Osimhen leading the line, Icardi rediscovering his rhythm, and Sané supplying width and invention, Galatasaray now possess one of the most feared attacking units in Europe — a blend Sánchez believes can help the Istanbul giants not only dominate domestically but also compete with the continent’s elite.
