NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS HAS GIVEN RATTAWU THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF HANDLING ALL ITS MEDIA ACTIVITIES.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), the responsibility of handling all its Media Activities.

This Mandate was handed over to the Union when the Congress President received at the Congress National Secretariat in Abuja the Newly elected officials of RATTAWU ably led by the New National President, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu ( Magic Fingers), according to the statement released by Comrade Izang Francis Atsen, the National Publicity Secretary, RATTAWU Nigeria.
The national president of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Joe Ajero congratulated the Union for the conduct of a successful election, encouraging the winning team to consider the need to carry all along in governance as there should be no Victor nor Vanquish after elections.

The Congress President appreciated the immediate Past President of RATTAWU, Comrade Dr Kabir Garba Tsanni for standing firmly and insisting the National Delegate Conference of the Union holds in order to hand over at the scheduled end of tenure unlike some sit tight African Leaders.
Earlier on, while presenting the newly elected National President, Prince Emeka Kalu, the immediate past President thanked Comrade Joe Ajero for supporting RATTAWU during its troubled moments.
The New National President Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu while showing appreciation to the President of Congress and all those that contributed to his emergence as the National President of RATTAWU, assured of his total commitment towards the sustenance of the gains of his predecessor.
He promised to ensure RATTAWU takes back its prime position in the committee of Unions.
He further assures the NLC President of the willingness of the Union to Pay its dues to NLC maintaining that, as a mouth piece of the people, information dissemination will take topmost priority.
He solicited the assistance of the Congress President in making sure State Councils remit their Check,-Off dues as at when due.
And as a Golden Age President and considering the Union will be 50 in 2027, the President requested for support towards the actualisation of a New Media/Cultural Salary Structure for the Union members.
President Kalu stresses as part of his mission, the desire to establish RATTAWU Radio and Television Station thus requested the support of NLC in making this vision a reality.
At the end the National President Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu agrees on the need for continuous engagement with stakeholders and Strategic Partners in order to make his Vision and Mission for the Union a reality.
