
The death toll in Gaza has tragically increased to 25, with 12 people killed while seeking aid, according to newsmen reports.
This devastating situation is further compounded by the sheer number of wounded patients treated at the Red Cross field hospital in Rafah.
Between May 27 and August 8, the hospital treated over 4,500 patients, most of whom were injured while attempting to access food distribution sites, as reported by the UN.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has drawn widespread condemnation, with UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric emphasizing the need for unhindered aid delivery.
“it is imperative that the UN and its humanitarian partners are enabled to deliver aid at scale, using community-based mechanisms to reach the most vulnerable,” Dujarric said.

The World Food Programme has warned of a growing risk of widespread famine, emphasizing the need for consistent food supplies.
Jonathan Dumont, Head of Emergency Communications for the World Food Programme, stressed the importance of finding a way to deliver aid effectively. “to prevent famine, we need to find a way to get a consistent flow of food in,” Dumont said, underscoring the dire situation faced by Gazans.
In a show of solidarity and concern, thousands of people are expected to attend a protest in Tel Aviv to demand the release of hostages held in Gaza.
The demonstration, scheduled to take place at Hostages Square outside Tel Aviv Museum at 8 pm local time, precedes a nationwide strike on Sunday.
This follows a significant turnout of about 60,000 people at a similar protest last weekend, highlighting the growing public pressure for action.

Dana Silberman Sitton, sister and aunt of murdered hostages Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas, is among the speakers expected at today’s protest. Currently, there are 50 hostages held in Gaza, with 20 believed to be alive.
