Manchester United have confirmed a multi-year agreement with UK-headquartered fintech innovator Sokin, naming the company as the club’s Official Global Business Payment Solutions Partner.
The partnership strengthens United’s commitment to enhancing its worldwide operations through smarter, faster, and more secure business-to-business (B2B) payment systems.
Sokin’s AI-driven global payments platform will be integrated into the club’s commercial infrastructure, enabling seamless cross-border transactions across accounts payable, receivable, and treasury functions.
By automating and optimising international transfers, Sokin’s system aims to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and give United greater control over financial operations with real-time insights. The collaboration is expected to support the club’s relationships with its global network of suppliers, sponsors, and partners across more than 190 countries.
Founded in London, Sokin has built a reputation as a disruptor in the B2B payments sector, offering transparent, cost-effective solutions tailored for global enterprises. Its platform leverages artificial intelligence to streamline high-volume payment flows, while maintaining compliance with stringent international financial regulations.
The company has already partnered with several top-tier European football clubs and recently supported the British & Irish Lions during their 2025 Test series in Australia.
Marc Armstrong, Manchester United’s chief business officer, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Sokin to the Manchester United family. Their global business payments infrastructure and forward-thinking approach align perfectly with our commitment to delivering best-in-class services and experiences to our fans and partners across the world.”
Vroon Modgill, CEO of Sokin, described the deal as a defining milestone for the company:
“Partnering with Manchester United, one of the most iconic teams in global sport, represents a pivotal moment for Sokin and demonstrates the scale we’ve achieved as a business. The way United connects with hundreds of millions of supporters worldwide mirrors our ambition to empower businesses of all sizes to operate internationally with ease and efficiency. This partnership perfectly embodies our mission to break down the barriers to global commerce — there’s no better partner than a club that defines what it means to be truly global.”
While financial details remain undisclosed, the agreement adds to United’s growing portfolio of technology and innovation partners. It follows recent commercial deals with Adidas, Snapdragon, and Coca-Cola, forming part of the club’s strategy to integrate cutting-edge solutions across its operations.
The Sokin partnership is expected to be particularly valuable as Manchester United continues to expand its commercial footprint in key growth markets such as Asia, Africa, and North America, where cross-border transactions form a critical part of the club’s business model.
