Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, as manager Enzo Maresca admitted that “anything can happen” during the ongoing transfer window.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday—comments later relayed by Fabrizio Romano—Maresca suggested that Jackson’s future remains uncertain, particularly in light of Chelsea’s recent additions in the forward line.
“During the window, anything can happen,” Maresca said.
“That’s also the case for Nico Jackson. We signed two strikers… let’s see.”

The Senegal international, who joined Chelsea in 2023, has seen his position come under scrutiny after the Blues brought in two new forwards this summer. While Maresca stopped short of confirming a sale, his remarks have added further fuel to speculation that Jackson could depart before the window closes.

Injury Blow for Levi Colwill
According to Fabrizio, Maresca also confirmed that defender Levi Colwill has picked up an injury, raising fresh concerns for Chelsea’s defensive options as the new season approaches.
“We had a problem the last two days with Levi Colwill.
We don’t know how long he will be out for. Hopefully not too long. It’s a problem,” the Italian coach said.
Colwill’s absence could be a setback for Maresca, who is looking to solidify the backline ahead of his second season in charge.

Busy Summer Ahead for the Blues
Chelsea remain active in the transfer market, with outgoings and injury setbacks shaping the final weeks of their pre-season preparations. The club is looking to trim its squad while remaining competitive in the league and Europe under Maresca’s leadership.
As for Jackson, the next few weeks will be decisive. With suitors reportedly monitoring his situation, and competition for places intensifying, a move away from Stamford Bridge can’t be ruled out.
