Top chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State held a strategic meeting on Tuesday to evaluate the current state of the party, examine recent political developments, and lay out a unified path for the future, particularly as the 2027 general elections approach.

The high-level stakeholders’ meeting was convened at the multipurpose hall within the residence of former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The gathering drew notable party leaders, including serving legislators, former candidates, and federal appointees.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, signed by the Kano APC State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, and read aloud by Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the stakeholders unanimously resolved to reinforce internal party unity. They emphasized that only through cohesion, mutual respect, and shared purpose can the APC maintain its dominant status in Kano and remain relevant on the national stage.
The communique highlighted that strengthening the internal framework of the party is critical not only for electoral success but also for effective governance and the advancement of democratic values within the APC.

A key resolution from the meeting was the reaffirmation of unwavering loyalty to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The stakeholders praised his leadership as both former Governor and outgoing National Chairman, noting that he voluntarily stepped down after a tenure marked by progress and inclusiveness.
