The Benue State Police Command has intensified efforts to apprehend a woman, identified as Salome Tersoo, who is currently on the run after allegedly causing the death of her husband during a violent domestic dispute.

The tragic incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, July 31, 2025, at Agera Mbaashia community, situated within the Gaav district of Konshisha Local Government Area.
According to the authorities, the case was brought to light following a report made by the victim’s father, Mr. Emmanuel Achir, who contacted the Konshisha Divisional Police Headquarters at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the same day.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the police revealed that the deceased, 32-year-old Tersoo Emmanuel, was involved in a physical confrontation with his wife, Salome. During the altercation, she allegedly kicked him in the stomach and bit him on the right hand. The assault reportedly led to his immediate collapse and, subsequently, his death.
In the aftermath of the incident, the suspect fled the scene and has not been seen since. Her sudden disappearance has prompted the launch of a manhunt by law enforcement agencies across the state.
Upon visiting the crime scene, police investigators gathered relevant evidence and took photographs to aid further inquiry. The deceased’s body was then moved to God’s Approved Funeral Service mortuary for preservation and autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has since taken over the case and has commenced a thorough investigation. Meanwhile, concerted efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the fugitive suspect, as authorities seek to ensure justice is served.
