President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to renowned industrialist and philanthropist, Abdul Samad Rabiu, as he marks his 65th birthday.

In a warm tribute, the President hailed Rabiu’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth, national development, and social upliftment.
The message, conveyed through a statement issued by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday, praised Rabiu as an exemplary entrepreneur whose life embodies discipline, dedication, and purpose.

The President described him as not only a builder of industries but also a true partner in the country’s journey toward progress.
“Mr. Abdul Samad Rabiu is a nation-builder in every sense of the word,” Tinubu remarked. “He has constructed more than just factories—he has empowered people, revitalized communities, and invested relentlessly in Nigeria’s future. His efforts are not driven by personal glory but by a deep sense of responsibility and patriotism. Nigeria salutes him, and I personally hold him in the highest regard as a dependable ally in our collective quest for national advancement.”
Tinubu commended Rabiu’s visionary leadership and unwavering belief in the potential of the Nigerian economy. He highlighted Rabiu’s extensive investments in key sectors such as cement, sugar, steel, food processing, port operations, power, and more recently, oil and gas. According to the President, these ventures are more than commercial undertakings—they reflect bold aspirations and a steadfast commitment to national development.
“These are powerful examples of what is achievable when strategic vision is backed by discipline, courage, and purpose,” the President noted. “Through his companies, he has not only created thousands of jobs but also strengthened our industrial base and restored faith in indigenous enterprise and production.”

Equally praised was Rabiu’s philanthropic footprint through the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), which has been instrumental in driving impactful development projects across Nigeria and the wider African region. Tinubu lauded the initiative’s consistent investments in critical areas such as education, healthcare, and social welfare.
“ASR Africa has quietly transformed lives, built sustainable institutions, and expanded access to opportunities for countless individuals,” the President stated. “Through this platform, Mr. Rabiu has shown that true wealth lies in service to humanity.”
Concluding his message, President Tinubu described Abdul Samad Rabiu as one of Africa’s most accomplished business leaders and a patriotic Nigerian whose legacy will be remembered for generations. He wished the BUA Group Chairman continued wisdom, strength, and good health in the years ahead.
