Galatasaray officially unveiled Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and German winger Leroy Sané at a dazzling ceremony in front of a packed crowd at RAMS Park on Saturday, ahead of their pre-season friendly against Lazio.

The spectacular double unveiling drew tens of thousands of supporters to the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex in Istanbul, turning the event into one of the most iconic nights in Turkish football history.

With music, lights, and a festival-like atmosphere, fans celebrated the arrival of two world-class talents in what is arguably the most ambitious transfer window in Galatasaray’s history.

Osimhen: A Historic Signing

Victor Osimhen, 26, joins Galatasaray on a permanent deal from Napoli following a sensational loan spell last season, where he scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances, helping the club secure both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup.

His €75 million move shatters the Turkish transfer record, with the financial breakdown including €40 million upfront, €5 million in bonuses, and the remaining fee to be paid over two years. Napoli also retain a 10% sell-on clause. Osimhen has signed a four-year deal worth €15 million annually, excluding image rights and endorsements.

Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu revealed that Osimhen made a remarkable financial sacrifice to complete the move, even turning down a jaw-dropping €40 million-per-year offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

“The amount Victor gave up to come here is truly enormous. He gave up a sum no other player would ever give up, and we are happy to have him,” Kavukcu told Turkish media.

Despite interest from Juventus and other European heavyweights, Osimhen chose to stay at Galatasaray—a club he says allows him to express himself fully.

“This is where I can express myself fully through my football and with everything that I am,” Osimhen said in his first official interview with the club.

“I’m truly grateful to everyone who worked to bring me here. I came because I love this place, and I feel good here.”

Osimhen was welcomed earlier in the week to wild scenes at Atatürk Airport, with thousands of Galatasaray fans lining the streets to celebrate his arrival.

Sané Adds European Firepower

Joining Osimhen in the unveiling was Leroy Sané, who signed a three-year deal as a free agent following his exit from Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old winger brings pace, creativity, and Champions League pedigree to Galatasaray’s front line. His contract is reportedly worth between £10–11 million per year.

Commercial Boom and Fan Frenzy

The unveiling not only thrilled fans but also delivered a major commercial boost to the club. Galatasaray officials estimate that the event could generate between €6–7 million in merchandise, sponsorships, and ticket revenue—further underscoring the global appeal of their new signings.

As Galatasaray prepare for another Champions League campaign and look to defend their domestic title, the arrivals of Osimhen and Sané signal a bold new era for the Istanbul giants—both on and off the pitch.
