Oyo State House of Assembly Confirms Appointments to Civil and Judicial Service Commissions

The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the reappointment of Mr. Kamoru Aderibigbe as Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, alongside four other nominees who will serve as members of the commission.



This confirmation was made during a plenary session held on Tuesday, which was presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin. The confirmation followed the presentation of a detailed report by Hon. Olalekan Abiola, the Chairman of the House Committee on Establishment and Training.

In his report, Hon. Abiola noted that the screening of the nominees was rigorous and thorough. He explained that each of the candidates was assessed based on their curriculum vitae and past contributions to the public service. The committee considered their qualifications, experience, and capacity to effectively deliver in their respective roles.



The newly confirmed members of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission are:

Mr. Kamoru Aderibigbe – Chairman (reappointed)

Mr. Kolajo Isiaq Adewale – Commissioner I

Mr. Akanmu Olutoyin Adedeji – Commissioner II

Mr. Oladapo Oladimeji Olusegun – Commissioner III

Mr. Taiwo Oluwagbemiro – Member


In a related development, the House also approved the nomination of individuals to serve as members of the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission. Those confirmed include:

Mr. Musibau Adetunbi, SAN

Mr. Wahab Adedigba

Chief Joshua Abioye

Mrs. Moyosore Ajani


The report on the Judicial Service Commission nominees was presented by Hon. Abideen Ogundare, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions, Justice, and Judiciary. He informed the Assembly that the nominees had all undergone careful screening and were found to possess the requisite qualifications and competence for the roles.



“Having thoroughly screened the nominees and being satisfied with their presentations, responses, and professional credentials, the Committee hereby recommends—pursuant to Section 198 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended)—that their appointments be confirmed,” the report concluded.



With these confirmations, the Oyo State Government moves a step closer in strengthening both the civil and judicial service structures of the state.
