Nollywood’s long-standing feud between popular actresses Lizzy Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo has once again taken center stage, this time ignited by the pregnancy announcement of Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo. What should have been a joyful moment for the Ojo family turned into a bitter online spat, with both parties exchanging scathing remarks and raising concerns about personal safety.

The controversy erupted shortly after Priscilla Ojo took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, accompanied by elegant maternity photos. While many celebrities and fans poured in congratulatory messages, Lizzy Anjorin’s silence raised eyebrows—especially considering her history of tension with Iyabo Ojo.

Critics were quick to call Lizzy out for not celebrating Priscilla’s milestone. In response, the actress released a viral video defending her stance and throwing barbed words at both Iyabo and her daughter. In the now widely circulated clip, Lizzy did not hold back, stating, “If she gives birth to 20 children, they will all perish. Iyabo is a disgraceful human being.”

She further accused online trolls of hypocrisy, questioning why she was expected to offer congratulations to someone with whom she shares deep personal conflict. “You people keep judging me for not celebrating her. Have you forgotten the insults I endured from this same family?” she said during her tirade.

Iyabo Ojo swiftly responded in a post of her own, calling for peace but asserting she would no longer tolerate defamation, threats, or verbal attacks aimed at her or her children. She also warned that any harm that befalls her or Priscilla should be blamed on Lizzy Anjorin.

“I’m not looking for trouble. But if anything happens to me or my children, hold Lizzy responsible. Enough is enough,” she stated, referencing past altercations and online spats between the two.

The bitter feud has since taken over social media discussions, with fans and fellow entertainers taking sides. While some sympathized with Lizzy Anjorin, suggesting she was being unfairly pressured to react, others condemned her for crossing the line by wishing harm on a child.

The bad blood between Lizzy and Iyabo is not new. The duo have been at loggerheads for years, with previous episodes involving mutual accusations of slander, betrayal, and public insults. At various times, both actresses have used their platforms to address these issues, leading to a cycle of accusations and rebuttals that has now evolved to involve their children.

Public sentiment has been divided. Some Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram expressed their shock at Lizzy’s words, with one user commenting, “Children should be off-limits. No matter the beef, that was too far.” Others accused Iyabo of playing the victim card and inflaming the situation by publicizing private grievances.

Meanwhile, a handful of industry insiders have called for reconciliation between the two actresses, citing the impact of such online wars on the industry’s image and their families’ mental well-being.
