The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) has joined numerous admirers, colleagues, and well-wishers in celebrating one of its finest broadcasters, Mrs. Lola Osanyin, who marks her 60th birthday today, July 20, 2025, and simultaneously retires from active service.

Mrs. Osanyin, who held the position of Director of News and Current Affairs, retired upon attaining the statutory retirement age of sixty.
The milestone occasion, which combines her birthday and retirement, has drawn a flood of glowing tributes from colleagues, industry associates, admirers, and friends.
Famed for her elegant command of the Yoruba language and her impeccable broadcasting style, Mrs. Funmilola Osanyin has left an indelible mark on the media landscape, particularly in Yoruba news broadcasting. Her professionalism, grace, and warmth have earned her widespread respect within and beyond the corporation.

Among the many tributes was a joint message from members of the Internal Audit Unit of BCOS, comprising James Araoye, Soliu Adeniran, and Olanlokun Abiodun.
Their statement read in part: “Congratulations as you mark your birthday and retirement from Oyo State’s BCOS Service today! You have been one of the directors we hold in high esteem for your transparency and accountability throughout your tenure.
“You consistently sought guidance from the Internal Audit Unit, particularly on accounting matters such as account receivables and other financial concerns that required your attention.
“Your moderation in official requests, especially regarding fuel costs for news assignments, is worthy of commendation. It was evident that you always adhered to official rates, showcasing integrity and diligence in your duties.
“You carved a niche for yourself as a dedicated, loyal, and indispensable member of the BCOS family, a true pillar in the management team. This no doubt explains why you remained a trusted lieutenant of our Executive Chairman during your service years.
“Beyond your work ethic, you were a fashionista, always radiating natural beauty in your neat and modest appearance. Your cheerful disposition and exemplary dedication to duty will remain memorable. We wish you continued good health and abundant wealth. Happy Birthday, Ma.”
