Serie A reigning champions Napoli have completed the signing of Dutch international Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth €25 million, the club confirmed today Thursday 17 July.

In an official statement, Napoli wrote:

“SSC Napoli announces that it has definitively acquired the registration of the player Noa Noell Lang from PSV Eindhoven.”

The 26-year-old forward becomes the second high-profile departure from PSV in the space of a week, following Malik Tillman’s switch to Bayer Leverkusen.

Lang’s Career So Far

Lang, a product of the Ajax academy, first caught the eye during a loan spell with Belgian giants Club Brugge in 2020. He later joined them permanently and won two Belgian Pro League titles before moving back to the Eredivisie with PSV in 2023.

During his one-season stint in Eindhoven, Lang made 63 appearances in all competitions, registering 19 goals and 14 assists, while helping PSV secure back-to-back Eredivisie titles.

At international level, the skilful winger has earned 14 caps for the Netherlands, scoring three goals and assisting twice for the Oranje.

Napoli’s Summer Rebuild Continues

Lang’s arrival comes on the heels of Napoli’s blockbuster signing of Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City — the most expensive transfer in Italian football this summer. The addition of Lang brings further attacking flair and depth to a Napoli side aiming to defend their Scudetto crown next season.

The club is also said to be in advanced talks with Udinese over the €35 million signing of Italy forward Lorenzo Lucca, and is eyeing a move for Bologna’s Dutch defender Sam Beukema in a deal worth around €30 million.

To fund this aggressive summer recruitment, Napoli are reportedly finalising the sale of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray for €75 million — a major outgoing that could help balance the books while facilitating a broader squad overhaul.

Napoli, who won their fourth Serie A title last season, appear determined to consolidate their domestic dominance and mount a stronger challenge in Europe under new manager Francesco Calzona.
