Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has added another impressive achievement to his illustrious career as his critically acclaimed album, “Timeless,” clinched a Silver Certification in the United Kingdom.

According to Chart Data, the globally recognized music analytics platform, the certification was awarded after the Davido’s “Timeless” album surpassed 100,000 units sold in the UK, making Davido one of the few African artists to attain such a feat.



Released on March 31, 2023, “Timeless” has been hailed as a defining body of work in Afrobeats history. The 17-track album is a blend of Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, konto, highlife, and Afropop, showcasing Davido’s versatility and creative depth.

It features collaborations with global and African music heavyweights, including Asake, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Fave, Cavemen, and Grammy award-winning Angelique Kidjo.

The success of “Timeless” translated into international recognition, earning Davido a Grammy Award nomination for Best Global Album. Its hit singles also made waves globally:

“Unavailable” (featuring Musa Keys) bagged a Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance and was also certified Silver in the UK.

“Feel” earned a nomination for Best Global Song Performance at the Grammys.
