“Now they’re scheduled to play against Franceex United, a team previously expelled for their involvement in a 9-0 match-fixing scandal against Bison FC. Though the NLO took disciplinary action, Franceex were reinstated by the NFF Appeals Committee after winning the Maracana League.”
Suspicions of a Pre-Planned Result
The informant further alleged that plans are in motion to ensure Ikorodu City FA wins by a margin of at least five goals, which would potentially swing the goal difference in their favour, securing them the promotion spot ahead of Magic Stars.
“This is not just about promotion—it’s about protecting the credibility of Nigerian football. The NLO must monitor Tuesday’s matches closely and take decisive action if any manipulation is observed,” the source warned.
