The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is gearing up for the start of the 2025/26 season with the confirmation of its Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place before the end of July 2025.
The announcement was contained in a circular sent to all participating clubs, duly signed by the NPFL’s Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi.
The circular stated:
“We bring you compliments of the Board, Management and Staff of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and welcome you to the activities of the 2025/2026 NPFL season.
“Based on the above, I am directed to inform you that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NPFL will be coming up by the end of the month of July 2025.
“You are also to note that the Draws and Fixture schedule for the 2025/2026 NPFL Season will also be conducted the same day”.
“The date, venue and time of the meeting will be communicated to you in due course. Accept our sincere sporting regards.”
The AGM is a critical gathering that brings together league administrators, club executives, and key stakeholders to deliberate on vital matters relating to the league’s structure, commercial outlook, rules and regulations, and other administrative affairs. It is traditionally used to assess the preceding season and finalize decisions that will guide the incoming campaign.
