President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to officially open the 19th edition of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), which will run from July 27 to August 1, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The high-level event, already touted as Africa’s largest housing and construction gathering, promises to reshape the continent’s built environment through innovation, collaboration, and policy transformation.
Organised in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, AIHS 2025 will convene an extraordinary roster of African heads of state, ministers, parliamentarians, governors, ambassadors, private sector leaders, professional bodies, and housing experts from over 21 countries. With an estimated 40,000 participants, the show is poised to set a new standard in housing development discourse and deal-making on the continent.
According to the convener, Mr. Festus Adebayo, the theme of this year’s event—”Reimagining Housing Through Innovation, Collaboration, and Policy”—reflects Africa’s urgent need for creative, scalable solutions to address housing deficits and affordability challenges.
“AIHS has become the most reliable platform for housing innovation and real-time policy engagement in Africa,” Adebayo noted.

AIHS 2025 will serve as a launchpad for new housing technologies, policy dialogue, infrastructure financing, and public-private partnerships. With over 400 exhibitors and 50 international thought leaders, the event offers an unmatched platform for companies, investors, developers, and regulators to engage in strategic partnerships.
Participants can look forward to:
Live product demonstrations and tech showcases.
Interactive knowledge sessions on housing finance, smart homes, land access, urban planning, and climate-resilient infrastructure.
Media exposure via Housing TV Africa (StarTimes Channel 149) and the Housing Development Programme on AIT (DSTV 253, GOtv 93).
Networking opportunities for home seekers, construction firms, and policy influencers.
The show is also expected to draw major construction and real estate firms, mortgage banks, building materials manufacturers, and urban developers, all eager to explore Nigeria’s expanding housing market.
President Tinubu’s anticipated presence will signal the administration’s renewed commitment to tackling Nigeria’s housing shortfall and improving urban infrastructure. His participation comes at a time when the government is prioritizing affordable housing delivery, mortgage financing reforms, and urban renewal.
This aligns with Tinubu’s national housing agenda and policy drive to leverage private investment and innovation in closing Nigeria’s housing gap, which exceeds 20 million units according to recent estimates.
With dedicated platforms for product launches, investment pitches, and business-to-business matchmaking, AIHS 2025 promises exceptional value for brands aiming to penetrate or expand across African markets. Strategic visibility through media partners and digital channels will also give attendees and sponsors increased access to an audience beyond the venue.
The organisers have called on all stakeholders—including policymakers, real estate developers, architects, engineers, financial institutions, and individuals seeking housing solutions—to register at www.africahousingshow.com to secure their place at this landmark event.
As Africa’s real estate landscape evolves, AIHS 2025 is shaping up to be more than just an expo—it is a continental movement for sustainable housing development, economic empowerment, and inclusive urban growth.
