Gittens: “It Feels Great to Join Such a Big Club”
Although he will not be eligible to play for Chelsea until after the Club World Cup, Gittens shared his excitement about joining the Premier League side:
“It feels great to join such a big club as Chelsea. It’s an amazing feeling,” he said in his first interview as a Chelsea player.

Gittens becomes Chelsea’s fifth major signing of the summer following the arrivals of:
English Striker Liam Delap from relegated Ipswich Town, Brazilian Forward Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion, Portuguese Midfielder, Dario Essugo from Sporting CP and 19 years old Mamadou Sarr, the French Center-Back from French Ligue 1 Side Strasbourg.
Dortmund: “Challenging Talks, Positive Outcome”
After series of negotiations with Chelsea for a deal to be struck, Borussia Dortmund finally accepted Chelsea’s offer and confirmed the deal on Thursday, with Club’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl acknowledging the difficulty of negotiations:
“Talks with Chelsea were challenging, but we are ultimately pleased with the outcome. Jamie is an outstanding player who has given us a great deal of pleasure.”
“Gittens now wants to take the next step in his career at Chelsea, and we wish him all the best and much success.”

With Chelsea continuing to invest heavily in young talent, Gittens’ arrival signals the club’s long-term vision under their current project. The winger now joins a growing group of emerging stars tasked with restoring Chelsea’s place among Europe’s elite.
