Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) defender Samuel Ayodeji Bamidele is on the verge of completing a move to Zambian top-flight giants Power Dynamos, as the club intensifies preparations for the 2025/2026 Zambia Super League season, Ireport247news has gathered.
Power Dynamos, one of Zambia’s most decorated clubs, have identified the versatile Nigerian defender as a key addition to bolster their backline ahead of a campaign in which they are aiming to challenge for domestic honours and continental qualification.

Sources close to the negotiations reveal that a two-year contract has been tabled for the 3SC player, with talks between both clubs now at an advanced stage. The Dynamos board is believed to have greenlit the personal terms, as they seek to wrap up the deal swiftly before pre-season training begins.
Bamidele, known for his tactical intelligence, ball-playing ability, and versatility across the defensive line, had previously been linked with Zesco United, another Zambian Premier League side. However, that move collapsed at the final stage, opening the door for Power Dynamos to make their approach.

The 24-year-old was a standout performer for Shooting Stars during the recently concluded 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), earning praise for his consistency and leadership in defence. His performances caught the attention of scouts from across Africa, particularly in Zambia and East Africa.
If the deal is finalised, Bamidele would become the latest Nigerian talent to test himself in the increasingly competitive Zambian league, following in the footsteps of compatriots who have made successful transitions to Southern African football in recent years.

The defender is expected to undergo a medical in Lusaka in the coming days before signing officially with Power Dynamos. The move would mark Bamidele’s first venture abroad and a significant step forward in his professional career.
Power Dynamos are hoping that his arrival will strengthen their defence, which struggled with injuries and inconsistency during the last campaign. The club finished third in the 2024/25 season and are aiming to reclaim the league title and secure a strong showing in CAF competitions.
More updates are expected in the coming days as final paperwork is processed between Shooting Stars and the Zambian outfit.
