Atalanta have reiterated that Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman will only be allowed to leave the club this summer if a suitable offer meets their valuation, with the Serie A side refusing to entertain negotiations below their set price.
According to Italian outlet Le Bombe di Vlad, the Bergamo-based club are open to a potential sale but have placed a hefty price tag of between €45 million and €50 million on the 2024 African Footballer of the Year.

“Atalanta have already drawn a very clear line: Lookman will only leave Zingonia in the event of a major offer, well above €30 million,” the report stated.
“The valuation is between €45 and €50 million, a figure justified by the player’s consistent performance, including his impact in big matches last season.”
Despite growing interest from several top European clubs — including Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Napoli — none has yet submitted an offer that matches Atalanta’s demands.
Barcelona are also believed to have identified Lookman as a potential frontline reinforcement, but their informal approach reportedly fell short of expectations. Arsenal, currently exploring options to bolster their wing positions, have revived interest in the former RB Leipzig man, while Napoli have emerged as late contenders. Juventus are also said to be closely monitoring developments.
Nevertheless, Atalanta remain firm in their stance. The club, now under the leadership of new manager Ivan Juric, are under no pressure to sell and still view Lookman as central to their technical project.
“The club is in no hurry to sell and considers the player to be a key figure in the team’s plans,” the report added.
“Lookman himself has not demanded a transfer and remains focused on the Atalanta project, although a call from a top European club could lead him to consider a new adventure.”
Since his arrival in 2022, Lookman has been in scintillating form, scoring 55 goals and providing 25 assists across all competitions. His standout performance came in the 2024 UEFA Europa League final, where he netted a historic hat-trick to secure Atalanta’s first European title.

In the just-concluded 2024/25 season, the Super Eagles star recorded 20 goals and seven assists, placing him statistically ahead of other high-profile targets like Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) and Rodrygo (Real Madrid) — both of whom are also reportedly on Arsenal’s radar.
Despite reports suggesting Atalanta may have secured a replacement forward, the club’s hierarchy remains adamant that Lookman will not be sold below their valuation.
Le Bombe di Vlad concluded: “Lookman’s departure is being considered only as an exceptional option. If any club truly wants to take him away from Bergamo, they must prove it with an offer that leaves no room for doubt.”
Lookman, who still has two years left on his current deal, remains a key figure for both club and country — and any club hoping to sign him will need to meet Atalanta’s high standards, both financially and competitively.
