Prince Kazeem Balogun, the All Progressives Congress (APC) councillorship candidate for Ward A in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, has taken a commendable step towards addressing the community’s water challenges by rehabilitating a long-abandoned borehole.

The restored facility, located on Adetayo Street, off Oyebanjo Solarin Street in the Elebiju area of Ketu, is now capable of providing up to 12,000 litres of clean water daily. This development is expected to significantly improve access to safe and potable water for residents in the area.

At the official commissioning of the project, Honourable Kafilat Ogbara, who represents the Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, lauded Balogun’s initiative.

She praised his dedication to improving the lives of constituents and commended the project as a timely and much-needed intervention. Ogbara also used the occasion to urge the community to support the APC, emphasizing that the party remains committed to addressing grassroots challenges through impactful development projects.

Speaking to journalists at the event, Prince Kazeem Balogun reiterated his long-standing commitment to community development. He noted that his track record over the past six years reflects his passion for initiating positive change at the local level.

“In the last six years, I have actively contributed to the growth of our community,” Balogun said. “If given the mandate to serve as councillor in the upcoming July 12 election, I promise to scale up these efforts. I appeal to the good people of Ward A to support me so that together, we can harness more resources and government support to elevate our ward.”

Also in attendance at the commissioning was Mrs. Adetola Abubakar, the APC chairmanship candidate for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, who joined in commending Balogun’s grassroots efforts and pledged continued collaboration in serving the interests of the people.

The revived borehole project not only addresses a pressing need for clean water but also stands as a symbol of Prince Balogun’s proactive leadership and the APC’s broader vision of community-driven governance.
