Nollywood veteran, Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has publicly criticized Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), for allegedly failing to deliver promised rewards to him and other entertainers who campaigned for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 general elections.
In a viral video currently trending on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Lalude expressed deep disappointment over the treatment meted out to celebrities who left their regular film work to support the political campaigns of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“My colleagues and I campaigned for President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu during the election, but we were not given a dime after the campaign,” Lalude lamented.
The actor revealed that he and several colleagues were mobilized by MC Oluomo for intensive grassroots campaign efforts that lasted over a month. According to him, the organizers, led by MC Oluomo, made several verbal promises to provide financial compensation and other rewards — promises that, two years later, remain unfulfilled.
“We left our jobs for a month and three weeks campaigning for them. MC Oluomo was the one who organized us together for the campaign. He personally told Alapini and I to ask for anything we wanted, and we told him what we wanted. But he didn’t fulfill his promise,” he added.

Frustrated by what he considers betrayal, Lalude did not mince words, issuing a strong rebuke to those allegedly sitting on the promised funds.
“My curse will follow those sitting on the money for the rest of their lives,” he declared.
Social media users have been reacting to Lalude’s confession with mixed emotions. While some sympathize with his disappointment, others argue that entertainers should have been more discerning in their political alliances, especially with a ruling party already facing criticism for economic mismanagement.
As the political climate heats up ahead of the 2027 elections, voices like Lalude’s could influence celebrity engagement and endorsement culture, pushing for more accountability and contractual clarity in political campaigns.
