Renowned television host and media personality, Frank Edoho, has confirmed the end of his second marriage to Sandra Onyenuchenuya, marking another personal chapter that mirrors the complexities of love, commitment, and self-discovery.
Edoho made this revelation during an emotional and candid appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, which aired on YouTube on Saturday. The former host of the popular quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? used the platform to open up about his experiences with marriage, shedding light on the difficulties he encountered in both of his unions.
Reflecting on his journey, Edoho acknowledged that despite his best efforts, his second marriage had come to an end, just like his first marriage to Katherine Obiang, which ended in 2011. He said, “Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess,” admitting the emotional toll and lessons learned over the years.
He went further to explore the deeper nuances of romantic relationships, especially the difference between love and compatibility. “The love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love,” he explained thoughtfully. “But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself. It’s someone with whom you naturally align.”
Despite the heartbreak, Edoho emphasized that he put his all into both marriages. “I know that I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner. I can abandon everything [for love],” he said. “But you don’t blame someone if they fall out of love.”
To underscore his point that sometimes love isn’t enough to sustain a marriage, Edoho referenced the case of retired Brazilian football star, Kaká. “Take the footballer Kaká for example. He’s Brazilian and looks as handsome as an Indian. Even after retiring from football, he still looked good,” he remarked. “But his wife divorced him. Do you know what she said? ‘He is too good.’”
Edoho’s revelation offers a rare glimpse into the private struggles behind public personas. His openness resonated with many, as he used his personal story to highlight the unpredictability and delicate balance of human relationships.
