The Israeli military has carried out a series of raids in the occupied West Bank, arresting more than 25 Palestinians in the governorates of Nablus, Qalqilya, and Salfit. According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office (ASRA), journalist Mujahid Bani Mufleh from Beita, in Nablus governorate, was among those arrested. During the raids, Israeli forces stormed dozens of homes, sparking widespread concern about the treatment of Palestinians in the occupied territories.

The arrests are part of a larger trend of Israeli military activity in the West Bank. Since October 7, Israel has carried out a total of 9,430 arrests in the West Bank in near-daily raids. These raids have targeted various cities and towns, including Hebron, where four Palestinians were arrested in an overnight swoop.

Israeli forces stormed the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, arresting three people, including a female university student. Another man was arrested in the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society has reported that Israeli forces have doled out “severe beatings” and made threats against detainees’ families. This treatment has raised concerns about human rights violations and the impact on Palestinian communities. The society keeps a daily tally of arrests, highlighting the ongoing nature of the Israeli military’s activities in the West Bank.

In similar incidents, Israeli forces have launched arrest campaigns across the West Bank, targeting local residents. In Nablus, seven citizens were arrested early one morning, with Palestinian sources reporting that occupation forces stormed the Old City and its surroundings, firing live ammunition. The same sources added that Israeli forces arrested six other citizens after raiding their homes, searching them, and tampering with their contents.

The situation in the West Bank remains tense, with Israeli forces continuing to conduct raids and arrests. The international community has expressed concern about the treatment of Palestinians in the occupied territories, highlighting the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
