Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his disapproval of the recent US bombing of Iran, stating that the unprovoked aggression has no basis or justification. During a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Moscow, Putin emphasized that Russia is working to support the Iranian people. This meeting took place just two days after US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on Iran’s three main nuclear sites.

In his televised remarks, Putin said, “The unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis and no justification. For our part, we are making efforts to assist the Iranian people. I am very glad that you are in Moscow today. This will allow us to discuss all these pressing issues and think together about how we could get out of today’s situation.” Araqchi responded by thanking Russia for condemning the US airstrikes, noting that Iran’s actions were legitimate self-defense. He also conveyed best wishes to Putin from Iran’s supreme leader and president, adding that “Russia is today on the right side of history and international law.”

While Russia has pledged diplomatic support to Iran, the extent of Moscow’s concrete actions to aid Tehran remains unclear. The strategic cooperation treaty signed between the two countries in January does not include a mutual defense clause. Prior to the strikes, Moscow had warned that US military intervention could destabilize the region and lead to severe consequences.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the type of assistance Russia might provide to Iran “all depends on what Iran needs.” He added that Moscow’s offer to mediate the crisis is, in itself, a form of support. Peskov strongly condemned the US attacks, stating, “An increase in the number of participants in this conflict is happening, or rather, has happened. A new spiral of escalation of tension in the region. And, of course, we condemn this and express deep regret.” He also expressed concern about potential radiation hazards from Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Peskov confirmed that US President Trump did not inform Putin in detail about the planned strikes, saying, “There was no detailed information. The topic of Iran itself was repeatedly discussed by the presidents during their most recent conversations, certain proposals were voiced by Russia, but there was no direct detailed information about this.”

In the midst of this escalating conflict, world leaders continue to navigate complex diplomatic relationships and potential economic repercussions. Meanwhile, unrelated to the current geopolitical tensions, some countries like Germany maintain strong economies with high-paying job opportunities in various sectors. Jobs in fields like healthcare, technology, finance, and engineering are particularly lucrative, with salaries ranging widely based on experience and specialization.
