Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes the Gunners are right not to show interest in Victor Osimhen, citing potential clashes with Mikel Arteta. Osimhen, currently regarded as one of the world’s top strikers, had an outstanding loan spell with Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.
Gallas stated, “Victor Osimhen is a top-class striker, but I could see him clashing with Mikel Arteta.” He suggested that Viktor Gyokeres would be a better fit for Arsenal.
However, Gallas emphasized that to win the Premier League next season, Arsenal needs to sign Alexander Isak. “Isak is perfect for Arsenal, and they should be going all out to sign him. He would adapt instantly and give them the best chance of winning the title out of any player in the world; they don’t have time to let a striker adapt.”
Meanwhile, Galatasaray Deputy Chairman İbrahim HatipoÄŸlu has reiterated that Victor Osimhen is the club’s top priority in the transfer market. Amidst rumors of potential signings, including İlkay GündoÄŸan from Manchester City, HatipoÄŸlu emphasized that Osimhen remains the focus of the club’s recruitment efforts.
In an interview with Habersarikirmizi, HatipoÄŸlu stated, “We haven’t had any connection with Manchester City regarding transfers. We haven’t discussed money with İlkay GündoÄŸan and his manager. There is no such thing on our agenda at the moment.” He made it clear that the club’s attention is fixed on securing the services of the Super Eagles striker.
“We are all thinking about the Osimhen transfer first. We will meet later if our coach wants to,” HatipoÄŸlu added, highlighting the club’s commitment to finalizing the deal. The Galatasaray official’s comments underscore the club’s determination to strengthen their squad with Osimhen’s talent.

Osimhen’s impressive form and goal-scoring ability have made him a highly sought-after target in the transfer market. Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Nigerian international demonstrates their ambition to compete at the highest level and challenge for major honors.
