Tensions in the Middle East have erupted into open warfare as Iran launched its first retaliatory missile attack on Israel, following the United States’ bombing of key Iranian nuclear sites under the orders of President Donald Trump. Multiple missiles struck central Israel, injuring at least 11 people. The platform released a video showing widespread destruction, including burning buildings and emergency responders pulling victims from rubble.

“Iran has launched its first retaliatory missile strikes on Israel after the US attack on Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow. At least 11 people were injured in central Israel,”.

The Iranian response comes less than 24 hours after President Trump declared a “very successful” operation targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. The sites bombed by the US included the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan facilities, locations central to Iran’s controversial nuclear program.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump announced. “All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.

All planes are safely on their way home.” Trump praised the strikes, calling them a demonstration of US military supremacy. “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he said.

However, Iran has pushed back hard against the US action. Tehran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the US action as a “dangerous provocation” and warned of inevitable consequences. “The world must not forget that it was the United States that initiated a dangerous war against Iran,” the ministry said in a statement hours after the bombing.

Iran’s Head of the Nuclear Safety System Centre assured the public that no radiation had leaked from the targeted sites. “Despite the criminal actions early this morning in the attack on nuclear facilities, due to prior precautions and measures taken, no radioactive contamination or nuclear radiation has been observed outside these sites and facilities,” he stated.

The situation has sparked fears of a broader regional war, with emergency alert systems activated across central cities in Israel, including Tel Aviv. Footage circulating online shows sirens blaring and panic in residential neighborhoods. Meanwhile, political fallout is growing in the United States, with prominent lawmakers slamming Trump’s decision to bypass Congress.

“The strikes on Iran, ordered by President Trump and executed without congressional authorization, mark a dangerous and reckless escalation of an already volatile conflict in the Middle East,” Representative Ilhan Omar said. “Military strikes will not bring peace.

They will only provoke more violence, destabilize the region, and endanger US troops and civilians. We’ve seen what happens when diplomacy is sidelined in favor of bombs. It only brings more death and destruction.” She urged Congress to act immediately, calling for a vote on War Powers resolutions to prevent further escalation.
