In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the United States has launched a series of precision airstrikes targeting key Iranian nuclear facilities.

President Donald Trump, speaking in a late-night national address from the White House on Saturday, described the operation as a “spectacular military success,” claiming that Iran’s nuclear capabilities had been severely degraded.

The strikes reportedly targeted three of Iran’s most critical nuclear enrichment sites—Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan. According to President Trump, the mission was carried out with surgical precision by the U.S. military.

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and to put an end to the threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” Trump said.

Prior to the address, the president had taken to his Truth Social platform, revealing that a “full payload of BOMBS” had been dropped on Fordo, which he referred to as the “primary site.” He further assured that all U.S. aircraft involved in the operation had safely exited Iranian airspace without incident.

In a second social media post, the former president celebrated the strike, writing in all caps: “THIS IS AN HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR. THANK YOU!”

Flanked by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, President Trump declared during the broadcast that the key nuclear enrichment infrastructure of Iran had been “completely and totally obliterated.” He issued a stern warning to the Iranian leadership, urging them to seek a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict with Israel.

“There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than what we have witnessed over the past eight days,” Trump cautioned. “And let me be clear: there are still many targets left on our list.”

He emphasized that if Iran refused to pursue peace and continued hostilities, the United States would not hesitate to act again. “If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill. Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes,” he added.

Tensions have reached new heights following the joint Israeli-American offensive on Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, which began on June 13. In retaliation, Iran launched a barrage of missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities, vowing to defend its sovereignty against further aggression.

Despite the potential for further escalation, Trump remained resolute in his rhetoric. In a post following his national address, he issued a final warning: “ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT.”

As the international community watches with bated breath, the world braces for the possible consequences of this high-stakes confrontation.
