Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, alongside his wife, Pastor (Dr) Becky Enenche, led a compassionate visit to the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State on Tuesday, where recent violent attacks had left dozens dead and many families displaced.

Their visit, deeply rooted in empathy and faith, aimed to console victims, offer prayers, and advocate for urgent action from political leaders.

Pastor Enenche did not hold back as he addressed journalists, urging the authorities to demonstrate genuine resolve in tackling the ongoing crisis. “Leaders must be willing to do what is politically right and just,” he emphasized. “Let every leader remember — we shall all stand before God someday.”

He further challenged the citizens to take a stand against the violence that has plagued their communities. “Beyond political intervention, the people must rise and say: ‘enough is enough,’” the pastor declared.

In a solemn message titled “A Visit of Love, Prayer & Healing – Yelwata, Benue State,” Pastor Enenche reflected on the grief and resilience he witnessed. “Today, with my team, we walked the soil of Yelwata — a land wounded by loss, yet rich in strength. We didn’t come with mere words, but with our hearts — to grieve with the grieving, to pray with the hurting, and to speak healing into broken lives.”

He described how, despite the heavy atmosphere, the community displayed remarkable resilience. “In sorrow, we saw strength. In mourning, we poured out love. And amidst the heaviness, we lifted prayers that touched the heavens,” he shared.

Pastor Becky Enenche also offered emotional and spiritual support during the visit, standing side by side with her husband in comforting the wounded community.

Together, the couple visited an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp at the International Market, where they distributed food items, relief materials, and other basic necessities to those affected by the tragedy.

During their time at the camp, the Enenches led a powerful prayer session, declaring divine peace, healing, and restoration over the land and its people. “To every broken heart and grieving family — God sees you, and He will heal you,” Pastor Enenche declared with compassion.

While the wounds of the attack are still fresh, their presence brought encouragement to a community struggling to recover. The visit was more than a gesture — it was a call to conscience, a plea for justice, and a demonstration of faith in action.

As the people of Yelwata begin the difficult journey toward healing, the Enenches’ visit has rekindled hope, reminding the nation that love, faith, and compassion remain vital tools in mending the fabric of communities torn apart by violence.
