Tottenham Hotspur are maintaining close contact with their winger, Manor Solomon, who is currently unable to leave Israel due to the escalating conflict with Iran, the club confirmed today.

The 25-year-old Israeli international, who recently married his long-term partner Dana Voshina in a ceremony in his homeland last Thursday, has been caught in the turmoil following Israel’s closure of its airspace to civilian traffic after Iranian aerial attacks.

Solomon, who joined Tottenham from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023, is due to return to London for pre-season training with Spurs in early July.

However, the ongoing hostilities, which intensified after Israel’s strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites just a day after Solomon’s wedding, have left the couple stranded.

The two nations have since been engaged in a series of retaliatory airborne attacks, further complicating travel.

A Tottenham spokesperson emphasized the club’s commitment to supporting their player, stating, “We are constantly in regular dialogue with all our players regarding their wellbeing and welfare.”

Solomon’s time at Tottenham has been marred by challenges, including a season-ending knee injury that limited him to just six appearances for the club in his debut season.

Following a 12-month loan spell at Fulham, Solomon spent the 2024 season on loan at Leeds United, where he shone, scoring 10 goals in 39 Championship matches. His contributions were instrumental in Leeds securing promotion back to the Premier League.
