Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has expressed strong confidence that the defection of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will significantly strengthen the party’s influence in the South South region.
Speaking through a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Okpebholo praised Eno’s bold and courageous decision to embrace the APC’s progressive ideals and national vision.
Governor Okpebholo described the defection as a clear demonstration of Eno’s commitment to advancing the development of Akwa Ibom State.

He expressed confidence that Governor Eno’s decision would not only bolster the APC’s presence in the South South but also contribute meaningfully to national unity and progress. According to the statement, “Governor Umo Eno’s alignment with the APC is a strategic step that will open up greater opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Akwa Ibom State.”
