In a major boost for grassroots football, PROSTAR has announced its support for the 2025 Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament, known as the Prosperity Cup, by providing FIFA-certified match balls for the final. The collaboration highlights PROSTAR’s dedication to fostering young talent and advancing community sports.
Now in its seventh season, the Prosperity Cup has solidified its status as Nigeria’s largest grassroots football tournament, featuring male, female, and para-soccer categories. With a record-breaking ₦50 million prize pool, the event continues to inspire aspiring footballers across Bayelsa State and beyond.
Tournament Director General Ono Akpe confirmed that the PROSTAR balls, widely used in the Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and the Women’s League, will elevate the quality of the final. “PROSTAR’s involvement is a significant milestone for the tournament,” Akpe stated.
