The announcement was made public through an official statement signed by Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, dated June 4, 2025. Governor Makinde congratulated the newly appointed board members and urged them to view their new roles as a call to dedicated service. He emphasized the importance of their contributions in driving forward the state’s education agenda.

This move is part of a broader governance reform agenda by the Makinde administration. Just days earlier, on May 30, the governor approved the appointment of four new members to the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission, a decision aimed at bolstering the state’s judicial system and enhancing justice delivery.

Similarly, in a separate development, the governor also announced yesterday a series of appointments to the Oyo State Civil Service Commission and the Oyo State Advisory Council. These strategic appointments are intended to reinforce the administrative and advisory functions of the government, ensuring that the state’s institutions are staffed with capable and experienced personnel.

Governor Makinde’s recent appointments across various commissions underscore his administration’s focus on merit, efficiency, and the long-term development of Oyo State’s public service institutions.
