The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment and readiness to participate in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21, 2025.

In a proactive step toward the event, NSC Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, is currently in Riyadh attending a two-day strategic seminar as Team Nigeria’s Chef de Mission. The seminar provides participating countries with critical insights into the games’ new guidelines and operational framework.

Hon. Olopade departed Nigeria on Friday, fresh from overseeing the successful conclusion of the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State. His presence at the Riyadh seminar underscores Nigeria’s determination to be fully prepared, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements for a strong performance in November.

The Islamic Solidarity Games offer Nigeria a platform to showcase its athletes, unearth new talent, and contribute to the event’s overarching goals of unity, diversity, and humanity.

Returning to Saudi Arabia after a 20-year hiatus, this year’s games are poised to set new benchmarks, bringing together athletes from 57 member countries.
