BREAKING: FG Declares Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Adha Festival

The Federal Government has officially declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, as public holidays in observance of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who spoke on behalf of the government.

In a statement issued through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both within Nigeria and across the Diaspora on this significant occasion.

He urged the Muslim community to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him), using the festive period as a time to pray earnestly for peace and prosperity across the nation.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo also reassured Nigerians that the people-focused reforms and initiatives under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda remain committed to steering Nigeria towards sustainable progress and development.

As the country joins in celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, the Minister called on all Nigerians to unite in supporting the current administration’s efforts to restore Nigeria’s status and glory as a great nation. He wished the Muslim Ummah a joyful and blessed Eid celebration.
