Manchester United overcame a halftime deficit to secure a 3-1 victory against Hong Kong, China in the second match of their post-season tour, played in driving rain at Hong Kong Stadium.

The home side took a surprise lead in the first half when Juninho capitalized on a rare attack, sending Hong Kong, China into the break ahead. However, United manager made a bold move, substituting the entire starting XI at halftime, and the fresh legs turned the game around.

Substitute Chido Obi stole the show, scoring his first senior goals for the club. Just five minutes into the second half, Obi leveled the score with a slick finish, set up by Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte. The young center-forward showcased neat footwork before drilling a low shot past the goalkeeper.

United pressed for more, with Mason Mount proving a constant threat. Goalkeeper Tse stretched to deny Mount’s fierce drive, and the midfielder later crossed for Obi, whose near-post header went wide. Mount’s influence continued, as his 67th-minute free-kick nearly found Ayden Heaven, but the former Arsenal youth player’s header drifted across goal, sparing the hosts.

Hong Kong, China mounted a rare counterattack, but United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir produced an impressive save to deny Lau Cheuk-hin. Obi was thwarted by a decent stop on a similar effort to his earlier goal, and Mount’s penalty appeals were waved away after a challenge in the box.

The breakthrough came in the 82nd minute when Mount’s clever chip found Obi, whose glancing header nestled into the bottom corner for his second of the night. In stoppage time, another substitute, Ayden Heaven, nodded in a third from an Amad cross, sealing a 3-1 win that reflected United’s dominant second-half display.
